About Back to Akron & Life on the Summit

Back to Akron is a storytelling and "place-marketing" initiative focused on showcasing Downtown Akron as the epicenter of business, culture, entertainment, and opportunity in Northeast Ohio. We highlight the real momentum happening across the city, from new businesses and revitalized spaces to the people shaping what’s next.

The initiative builds on the broader vision of Life on the Summit, that is attracting young professionals, entrepreneurs, and businesses to the region. We bring to light why people and companies are choosing to locate, grow, and reinvest here: proximity to nature, affordability, creative energy, arts and music, food and nightlife, historic character, and a rising ecosystem of entrepreneurs and civic leaders.
